The Japan Society of Health Evaluation and Promotion is an academic research organization that was officially registered with the Science Council of Japan since 1993. This Society was established in November 1973 by a group led by Dr. Ryosei KASHIDA of Faculty of Medicine,The University of Tokyo and Dr. Shigeaki HINOHARA of St. Luke’s International Hospital as an organization in Japan for IHEPA (International Health Evaluation and Promotion) with the aim of a spread and study of Automated Multiphasic Health Testing & Services for health evaluation and promotion.
My name is Yasuhiro NISHIZAKI and I am affiliated with the Tokai University School of Medicine. As of January 28, 2023, I have been appointed the 6th President of the Japan Society of Health Evaluation and Promotion. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Society. I’m honored to have been appointed the President of the Society in this milestone year.
The WHO reports that in 2022 Japan had the highest healthy life expectancy in the world for both men and women. In 2011, Japan is the country with the most widespread health checkups in the world and that associated with reducing the risk of various diseases and supporting longevity in Japan. The Japan Society of Health Evaluation and Promotion aimed to collaborate with various medical fields to conduct voluntary and population based health examinations and promotion.
In these four years, the environment surrounding health examinations and promotion has been restrained due to the spread of COVID-19. However, it’s us had been changed significantly from this spring.
" Let’s move forward to open up the future”, the Society will be under a new structure to welcome the year of a new beginning. We will continue to devote ourselves to the benefit of the members of the Society and strive for the development and promotion of preventive care and medicine in Japan and the world. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
