Goals and Activities

The society has the goal of striving to extend healthy lifespans to ensure that everyone individually achieves a level of lifestyle satisfaction by protecting the people of Japan from illness and maintaining and promoting good health, and conducting research into various kinds of physical examinations including general health examinations, health assessment methods, and predictive healthcare. We also aim to employ these outcomes in health education and provide support for personnel whose mission is to contribute to preserving and promoting the health of the people of Japan so that they can mutually exchange information and promote more interaction.

1. Hold society meetings (once a year)
2. Publish society journal, Health Evaluation and Promotion, ISSN 1347-0086, and other publications
3. Accreditation of superior facilities that provide general health exams
4. Certification of health evaluation and promotion specialists, health evaluation and promotion technical personnel, and health evaluation and promotion administrative personnel
5. Implement quality control surveys (on a quarterly basis)
6. Hold various types of workshops and lecture courses
7. Cooperate with relevant societies and scientific organizations, including the Health Evaluation Organization Liaison Council and Japan Society of Ningen Dock
8. Various activities in our capacity as a registered scientific research organization of Science Council of Japan
9. Statistical programs (preparation of exam recipient statistical indices, etc.)
10. Award programs (the Shigeaki Hinohara Award, superior treatise prizes, and incentive awards for young personnel) and incentive grant programs
11. Secretariat operations for the International Health Evaluation and Promotion Association
